About The Author
Dr. W. Paul “Buddy” Crum, Jr. is a visionary leader and author with a heart to empower God’s people for the marketplace. The author brings to the public a combination of education, empirical knowledge and experience in both the disciplines of business and as church leader. This unique combination and depth in both provides the ability to combine them into this authentic approach of understanding entrepreneurship.
Paul “Buddy” enjoyed a successful career as a corporate executive, entrepreneur, and organization consultant. As president of the Charter Capital Corporation in the 1970s, he was responsible for acquiring and managing a real estate portfolio valued at that time of over $100 million. He was a principal and served as Senior V.P. and Director of Marketing for Financial Services Corporation, a national financial services company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, with offices at that time, in 37 states in the United States. Prior to being sold to a Fortune 500 company, it was recognized as one of the largest and premier investment companies providing $100s of millions of capital for entrepreneurs. In additional, he was able to be involved directly in many of these ventures. In 1985, Dr. Crum founded Charter Management Consultants, Inc. a consulting firm specializing in helping entrepreneurs acquire capital through investment banking firms. He primarily groomed organizations for obtaining capital either by acquisition, going public or private investors. He worked with as many as 6 organizations at a time.
Buddy began his career working in the family business. After several years he began his own trucking business. He considers this one of his failures or “growing experiences”. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia was to be involved in the growing mobile home industry. Later he discovered he preferred to procure his clients as opposed to retail which led him into the financial services profession. In just three years, he was one of the top salespeople in the United States. Later, he and three other brokers began their own broker-dealer and began building what became over time one of the largest independent brokerage firms pioneering and specializing in financial planning.
After the sale of the business he worked for several years as a consultant working with entrepreneurs that needed capital including going public. He groomed and prepared them for acquiring capital or mergers and acquisitions.
During this time he was a co-founder with his wife of Life Center Ministries. Life Center was founded to equip and prepare people for ministry, and shortly thereafter added Life Center Church. Through these avenues, they have trained and prepared 1000’s of people in the workings of ministry. He continues to be active as C.E.O. of Life Center Ministries and Senior Leader Leader of Life Center Church.
Paul (Buddy) Crum was recognized as a leader and pioneer in the financial services profession. In this profession he was a broker, salesman, financial planner and principle owner in several broker-dealer organizations.
Buddy helped in the founding of the College of Financial Planning and was in the first graduating class of Certified Financial Planners (CFP). During this time he held credentials as a Registered Investment Advisor and was a member of the Board of Directors of International Association of Financial Planners, licensed as a real estate broker, a principal with the NASD as well as registered with a number of regional stock brokerage firms.
In addition he was co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Psychological Studies Institute, a joint venture with Georgia State University. It was designed to provide a Christian based curriculum as a means for counselors to receive a Master’s Degree from Georgia State University and Psychological Studies Institute.
In 1986, Dr. Crum was ordained as a minister with Christian International. In 1990, he became co-founder of Life Center Family Church and Director of Life Center Ministries, Inc., located then in Dunwoody, Georgia. Along with his wife, Dr. Mary Crum, he helps church and business leaders discover and training them in the gifts of the Spirit and destiny callings through individual consultations, workshops and conferences. He is President and CEO of The Life Center. He is President and founder of Marketplace Alliance Group. He is a founding member of Christian International Business Network and the International Christian Marketplace Alliance. He is a Board Member of the International Coalition of Apostolic Leadership.
The Life Center has trained over 20,000 people directly and over 100,000 through training the trainers. It currently has over 20,000 on its current mailing list (emails) that have been to events at the Life Center. The Life Center Church is an active viable church with over 400 active families
He has authored several books, including Much More than a Job, Spiritual Principles of Money, Pressing on with Joy, Turning Your Regrets into Remembrances, and The Future is Now – Breaking the Status quo. He serves on the Board of Governors of Christian International Ministries and is a member of the Board of Directors for Christian International Business Network.
W. Paul (Buddy) Crum is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He was a member of the first graduating class. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia, Master of Business Administration from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia, and his Doctorate of Religious Philosophy form Logos Graduate School. He also has a Master of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies form Christian International Bible College and currently serves on the Board of Governors of Christian International.

Robin Railey Altland effectively draws from her 30 years of Fortune 500 training to constantly challenge her clients to grow their valuable human capital resources. As an established highly effective Global Training Resource she differentiates herself in the area of training and leadership development by her unique ability to assess, coach, evaluate and train professionals to achieve aggressive corporate goals.
Ms. Altland’s extensive and varied experience ranges from salesperson, to sales manager, to training manager for the sales divisions of two multinational Fortune 500 companies. In 1996, she stepped down from the position of Regional Training Manager for AT&T, Asia Pacific, Inc., to establish her own consulting firm, Performance Dynamics International, a company specializing in: sales training and development; executive coaching and executive presentations; as well as leadership and curriculum development. She now serves as the National Training Director for FSH Strategy Consultants, a business and leadership development firm.
Ms. Altland has been involved in the leadership of a number of business organizations including: International Christian Chamber of Commerce (ICCC); the Marketplace Alliance Group (MAG) and served as Executive Director for Marketplace Alliance Group, part of Life Center Ministries as well as National Training Director for Transformational Leadership (FSH Strategy Consultants). These organizations are involved at local as well as governmental levels in developing entrepreneurial businesses. Robin has supported a number of US and global companies including: Alcatel-Lucent; Steelcase; SunTrust Financial, Sprint Broadband Marketing; Humana Health Care; AT&T; Schering Plough; Ascom Global Network Testing and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
Robin is currently supporting Dr. Buddy Crum in the launch of God the Entrepreneur, a networking organization supporting Christian Entrepreneurship and Business Development.
